just me screwing around 2007-2010, whether by guitars, out of tune old piano, or chord organ, recorded off a camera via iphone. none of these snippets are serious. they're the beginning moves away from pop tropes.

from 2005-2007 i had learned to play guitar, and could muster at least a john lennon skill level (think 'imagine') with piano. it may be hard for the listener to imagine (because of the shitty quality of these bits and pieces) but i had racked up dozens of songs in a very standard/normal pop vein (a la a mix of radiohead odd chords blended with neil young, blonde redhead, t rex, syd barrett pop directness). i was very much trying to replicate late 60's-early 70's chamber pop along the lines of velvet underground's 'loaded,' david bowie, love's 'forever changes,' and throw total familiarity off with chords i'd gleaned from autodidact music theory practice out of love for the mentioned bands using left turns. perhaps it's to my own detriment i never recorded any of these...
